BT has appointed Text 100 to handle global PR for Syncordia, its
outsourcing and network integration arm which provides customised
solutions for large corporations. Scope Ketchum and Harvard also pitched
for the business.
The account covers all markets outside the UK but will be handled by
Text 100’s Telecom CITI team in London. Key regions for BT in this
business area are Europe, Japan and Australia. Text 100 will work with
affiliate agencies in regions where it has no local office.
’Most of our business comes from the top 3,000 companies in the world,’
said Sonny Waheed, global marketing communications director of
Syncordia.
’Our aim is to get more business as there is a stronger move toward
integrating networks and expansion abroad by these companies.’
Katie King, associate director of Text 100, said: ’Our first task is to
conduct a global communications audit to help us shape an effective PR
strategy.’
