Firefly has picked up a pounds 200,000 PR account from
telecommunications and data management giant SITA Network Group.
The agency will work for two of the group’s three subsidiary companies,
SITA and ITS, which provide networking equipment and consultancy
services for the airline, travel, finance and retail industries.
Reporting to Sarah Bond, SITA Network Group’s head of marketing,
communications and programmes, the brief involves co-ordinating a global
PR programme across Europe, the US and the Far East and promoting the
two companies to IT managers locally in the UK.
Day to day work outside the UK will be handled by consultancies in the
US, France, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia belonging to Fireworks,
Firefly’s international network. Work is also likely to extend to Japan
‘It’s a good account win for us because it straddles the telecoms and
data communications marketplace,’ said Firefly associate director Kieran
Moore, who leads the account. ‘It’s proper international work and we
think there’s a lot to be done to raise awareness of the company as a
SITA Network Group previously retained Profile PR as its PR adviser. The
agency resigned the business in January after it picked up a pounds
200,000 account from BT’s Managed Network Services.
