Caroline Cooke as physics don Marie Curie, Nick Jones as a spaceman, Sam

Page as a surgeon, Virginia Buxton as Sir Isaac Newton and Julie Fox as

a racing driver.

The stunt was put on to promote ’Physics on the Buses’ for client the

Institute of Physics, which is celebrating its 125th birthday. The

anniversary coincided with National Science Week, which started 12 March

and ends on 20 March.

Herald’s volunteers underwent the rigours of film make-up, freezing

conditions, hoards of tourists and Trafalgar Square’s pigeons for the

three-hour photo-shoot.

’The number of Japanese tourists who came up and had their pictures

taken with us was quite astounding,’ says Herald senior account manager

Cooke.
