BORDER LINES: DUBLIN - MEP puts her trust in Bill O’Herlihy

Dublin MEP Bernie Malone has taken the unusual step of appointing a PR agency to promote her bid for re-election to the European Parliament in next June’s elections. Bill O’Herlihy Communications started work on the account, which involves media relations, last week. Malone’s account manager at the agency is Bride Rosney, who joined the agency earlier this year from her post as press aide to UN Human Rights Commissioner Mary Robinson (PR Week, 8 January). As an Irish Labour party member, Malone is part of the European parliament’s socialist block, its largest political group.
