BORDER LINES: BRUSSELS - EC disabled day searches for PR

The European Commission is searching for an agency to handle a pounds 270,000 budget account to promote this year’s European day of the disabled across the EU. The commission is working in partnership with disabled rights umbrella group the European Disability Forum to find an agency to generate awareness of the day and organise events in Brussels on 3 December. The agency will report to Antonella Schulte Braucks, head of the commission’s Integration of Disabled People’s unit. Last year the day was promoted by Ogilvy PR Worldwide, which is expected to re-pitch for the eight-month contract.
