Ogilvy PR teams based in five countries including the UK will support the group known as Brazil @ COP15 throughout the conference.
The project was won following a three-way pitch process believed to include Edelman. It will involve Ogilvy offices in London, US, Germany, Denmark and Sao Paulo. Brazil @ COP15 is a group of 10 leading Brazilian companies, trade organisations and unions, and is supporting its country's negotiations for a post-Kyoto global climate agreement.
Paulo Skaff, a member of Brazil @ COP15, and president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, said: ‘Brazil @ COP15’s challenge is to drive industry psychology to favour a direct hands-on approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable development.’
Organisations in Brazil @ COP15 include CNA – the Agriculture and Livestock Confederation of Brazil – and FIESP– Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo.
