PUBLIC SECTOR: McLintock takes on Grampian Police PR

Grampian Police in Aberdeen this month appointed Mike McLintock as its first ever public affairs and media head after a three-month search (PR Week, 4 December). McLintock joins the force from marketing consultancy Covey McCormick. The agency has provided PR support and strategic advice to Grampian on a retainer basis. The decision to create the new position at Grampian came after Covey suggested the former role of media liaison officer be upgraded and expanded to include advising the CEO, chief constable Andrew Brown, on police policy matters of public interest.
