Medialink, the broadcast PR specialist, has acquired leading US
media measurement company Delahaye Group, and is planning to expand its
measurement services to the UK.
The Delahaye Group, which reported 1998 revenues in excess of dollars 4
million (pounds 2.5 million), has a network of affiliates in 13
countries around the world.
The combined operation, Delahaye Medialink Communications Research, will
be headed by Delahaye founder and chief executive Katharine Paine, who
will become president of the merged entity.
Medialink Research founder Mark Weiner will be executive
vice-president.
The acquisition adds to Medialink Research’s existing revenues, which
stood at dollars 2.7 million (pounds 1.7 million) in 1998. Research
accounted for just under seven per cent of Medialink’s revenues last
year.
David Davis, president of Medialink’s international division, said: ’We
hope to have established a media research and measurement business in
the UK by the summer.’
The combined division will serve clients including AT&T, General Motors,
Unilever and MasterCard International.
