STOP PRESS: Investor relations membership doubles

The Investor Relations Society, which works with in-house and agency IR advisers to promote good relations between listed companies, their shareholders and potential investors, has seen its membership increase by just under one-third over the last two years. The society’s annual report shows membership now stands at 408, compared to 312 in 1996 and 347 in 1997.
