QVC UK, the shopping channel, has put out a brief to pitch for an account believed to be worth £500,000. The channel has spoken to three agencies, including six-year incumbent Freshwater.

John Maxse, former comms director of the Jockey Club, will join Pitch as a director in the New Year.
