Peregrine Securities, the Hong Kong-based investment bank, has hired
Citigate on a pounds 100,000 a year contract to boost its profile in
both the UK and the US.
One of the largest securities houses in the Far East, Peregrine operates
across the Asia Pacific region but is little known outside a small
range of banking specialists.
Ronna Parmiter, account director at Citigate, explained that the agency
had been briefed to highlight the bank’s particular strengths in Asian
markets. Audiences will include current and potential clients and
financial institutions likely to refer business.
Peregrine, she said, was especially keen to target companies within the
automotive, energy, telecoms and pharmaceutical industries. Citigate’s
work will include financial media relations, identifying speaking
opportunities for bank executives and organising seminars. Citigate will
manage the account from London and New York.
