Those cheeky chappies at Consolidated Communications employed novel means to attract the passing PR traffic along Poland Street (the Madison Avenue of Soho) by stringing out of the window a recruitment ad made out of a sheet.’There are even a couple of PR agencies opposite us where people might just be interested ... we’ve had a number of calls already,’ managing director Alastair-demon-staff-snatcher-Gornall tells me. Be afraid, fellow Poland Street inhabitants Jackie Cooper, Larkspur and Shilland and Co ... be very afraid. The headhunting war has taken on new and scary proportions.
