The WPP agency won three categories: Employee, B2B and Government for the Showtime/Orbit, Cooper Notification and Ministry of Works (Bahrain) campaigns, respectively.
The show was the first such event to be held by Mepra, taking place at Dubai's Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa on 24 November.
The judging panel was chaired by HSBC regional head of comms Tim Harrison, who pointed out that ‘we particularly liked those entries that managed to couple creativity with an adherence to business objectives'.
Peyman Younes Parham, director of marketing and comms at Dubai's Road & Transport Authority, was named Communicator of the Year. Weber Shandwick senior account manager Reuven Proenca, meanwhile, took home Young Communicator of the Year.
A separate Judges' Award for Creativity was awarded to d'pr for the ‘Pageflip Publishing: Launch of Gold Ring' campaign.
