Intermarkets PR, the largest PR group in the Middle East has
launched a new agency in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The agency, Ailamia
Intermarkets, is a joint venture by businesses including Intermarkets
PR, and the King Faisal Foundation, a philanthropic organisation.
Ailamia is an exclusive affiliate of Burson-Marsteller. This is B-M’s
first affiliate in Saudi Arabia, and the firm played an active role in
establishing the joint venture.
Ailamia will offer PR, research and direct marketing. It is the third
Intermarkets PR group company. The others are Corporate Communications
in Beirut, and Intermarkets PR in Dubai.
Ailamia Intermarkets’ chief operating officer is Mike Vertigans, who
joins from NatWest in the UK where he has worked since 1992. He has six
years experience with the Government Information Service and has worked
as an account manager for Grayling.
