Technology giant HP is reviewing its wide-ranging EMEA and Asia Pacific corporate reputation and crisis comms account.
The big-money corporate reputation management brief spans Europe, Middle East and Africa and is based out of London.
It is thought that the brief currently comes under the remit of Hill & Knowlton. The agency would not confirm the precise nature of its work for HP. The agency stated: ‘We continue to work for HP in various countries including China and the US, among others and the work spans executive communications, internal communications and analyst relations.'
HP itself declined to comment, but documents seen by PRWeek indicate that pitches will be heard in early January and the firm hopes to have an agency in place by early February.
The firm recently reviewed its corporate account in the US, which saw Bite take a chunk of work from H&K.
H&K's relationship with HP is managed by Amanda Groty, head of its EMEA technology practice. HP uses Edelman for its Imaging and Printing Group and Personal Systems Group accounts across EMEA and Burson-Marsteller for its Technology Solutions Group (TSG) work.
Meanwhile, Christina Schneider, director, HP corporate media relations will relocate from California to London in February to head up international corporate comms for the firm.
