BORDER LINES: MUNICH - Issues role for Tewes at Allianz

Insurance giant Allianz has chosen Philip Morris’ external PR manager for Germany, Nicolai Tewes, to head a new six-strong division handling ’societal communications’. Tewes’ division will deal with issues like the company’s past in Nazi Germany, and the environment. He will manage six staff in the division, which was created along with four others during a restructuring of Allianz’s corporate communications department earlier this year. He will report to Allianz director of corporate communications Emilio Galli-Zugaro. The restructuring at Allianz has seen its communications department expand from 15 to 25 people.
