BRUSSELS: The European Commission’s department for employment,
industrial relations and social policy, DGV, is reviewing a PR account
currently held by The Rowland Company.
The account is to handle PR and information services for the European
Social Fund, which funds job creation and training schemes. Between 1994
and 1999, the Fund will award pounds 31 billion to projects in EU member
DGV has split the account into three ’lots’, all of which are being
awarded on a one-year contract. Lot one involves the production and
diffusion of publications. Lot two involves the production and diffusion
of audiovisual materials, event organisation and evaluation and media
strategy development and implementation. Lot three requires the
collection and management of information about the Social Fund and the
European Strategy for Employment.
