Edelman PR Worldwide has recruited the president of one of France’s

largest PR agencies, BDDP Corporate, to head its European

operations.

Remy Ossard, who has been with corporate advertising and PR company BDDP

Group in Paris for 11 years, will join Edelman Europe as president in

September.

His appointment is a boost to the agency, which lost its two most senior

European executives, European president Joachim Klewes and UK managing

director Abel Hadden this spring. Klewes spent less than a year with

Edelman, after differing over operating styles with agency president and

chief executive Richard Edelman.

Ossard joined BDDP in 1988 as manager of CPM Consultants, which later

merged with BDDP subsidiaries to becom BDDP Corporate. The PR agency

employs 270 people, who are all based in France. The agency was ranked

first in a league of French PR shops published this year by Strategies

magazine.

Ossard’s clients included French aerospace company Aerospatiale,

computer giant Microsoft and oil company Elf Aquitaine.

Ossard will be based in Edelman’s Paris office and will report to deputy

chairman Michael Morley. The agency has nine wholly-owned offices in

Europe.
