Media services giant Medialink Worldwide has created the UK’s
largest TV PR consultancy by buying broadcast specialist The London
Medialink has agreed to pay up to pounds 5 million in cash and shares
for the London Bureau and photographic agency Eyecatchers Press, to
create a UK consultancy which will employ 40 staff.
The London Bureau will merge its staff of 16 with Medialink’s 19
consultants and Eyecatchers’ team of five. The new division will be
called Medialink International.
Before the merger, the largest TV PR consultancies in the UK were
Bulletin International, which employs 30 staff in London, and WTN
Productions, which has 12 people.
Medialink International will provide strategic TV, radio and
photographic consultancy, will produce corporate videos and VNRs using
outside crews of technicians, handle media relations, provide media
training and video news release distribution.
The division will be responsible for operations in Europe, Africa, the
Middle East and Asia. David Davis, formerly senior vice president,
international, for Medialink, is now president of the new division.
