AIM Publications is launching Bride and Groom as a sister title to You

and Your Wedding magazine. The summer issue goes on sale this week with

a cover price of pounds 2.50.



New roles for Gregson



Following its merger with United News & Media, MAI deputy chief

executive Charles Gregson becomes executive director - financial

services and information with responsibility for OIT, PR Newswire and

Visual Communications Group as well as overall responsibility for all

the former MAI broking and information companies.



IPC advertorial staff change



Charley Fairall, advertorials manager on IPC’s Options and Woman’s

Journal, is taking up the same role on Marie Claire and Marie Claire

Health and Beauty. Claudette Laws takes over his former magazines.



Channel 5 news is a Shaw thing



Chris Shaw has been appointed editor of the Channel 5 news service to be

provided by ITN when the channel goes on air in 1997. Shaw is currently

a News at Ten programme editor and executive producer of ITN’s special

programming.



Healthy figures for Cosmo Show



National Magazine Company’s first Cosmopolitan Show attracted 31,250

visitors over the four day exhibition at Earls Court in London.



Business mags are best



New research by the Periodical Publishers Association shows that 79 per

cent of the 1,000 decision makers surveyed across 20 business sectors

rate business magazines as the most important source for staying in

touch with what is happening in their sector. The next most used source

is national newspapers.



TPD gets In Front with Toyota



Contract publisher TPD has picked up the contract to publish Toyota GB’s

customer loyalty magazine In Front which will be mailed to 100,000

Toyota owners.



Country 1035 AM is city bound



Country 1035 AM is moving its programming operations from Fulham into

the same central London building as its sister station Talk Radio.
