BURKINA FASO: Edelman PR Worldwide is to promote the new annual

African Economic Forum, designed to foster dialogue and co-operation

between African political leaders and the international business

community.

Edelman is promoting the benefits of membership or sponsorship of the

forum to over 200 companies with existing or potential interests in

Africa.

Part of the membership and sponsorship fees would fund Edelman’s budget

if the agency succeeds in organising the forum.

African heads of state, the African Development Bank, the UN Commission

for Africa and the African Chamber of Commerce are all expected to take

part in the forum which is due to take place in Ouagadougou, West

Africa.

- Edelman has been reappointed by the Egyptian foreign affairs ministry

to promote inward investment. The nine-month contract is worth about

pounds 500,000 in budget and is part of the government’s ongoing

privatisation drive. The new account, which will be run out of New York

and London, will focus on attracting private sector funds from the US,

UK, France and Germany.
