The organisers of Pride 98, the annual gay festival which will take
place in London this July, are considering bids from PR agencies to
handle media relations in the run up to and during the festival. The
festival is in its 27th year and was attended by 238,000 people last
year. The organisers, Pride Events UK, are already working with
marketing specialists Making Waves to attract sponsors and local and
national media coverage.
Until an agency is appointed, Making Waves press officer Rodrigo
Maltez-Novaes will handle media relations.
