Lexis Public Relations moves into music PR through partnership with Nick McEwen

Lexis Public Relations is branching out into the music sector and has lured sector specialist Nick McEwen to strengthen its offer.

Lexis CEO: Margot Raggett

Lexis has launched a music PR strand to bring together brands and music. It will cover brand consulting, audience insight, brokerage, rights negotiation, trend forecasting, product endorsement and events.

McEwen will consult to Lexis for two days each month. His 15 year career in the industry has included A&R, music management, creative marketing and brand partnerships. He headed up Fallout Recordings at Universal and roles at both Island and London Records. McEwen now runs specialist music company The Sound and Vision.

CEO Margot Raggett said: ‘Lexis has a wealth of experience in sponsorship negotiation and campaign activation and has been active in the music field for many years.’

Lexis’ music campaigns include work for Coca-Cola, 3 Mobile, Sprite and Impulse. The music offer will work alongside Lexis Sport & Entertainment and Six, Lexis’ youth and experiential sister agency.

Raggett added that McEwen’s joining had ‘given us the prefect opportunity to consolidate our music offer’.
