Morrison will depart the agency after two years as global head of digital. He told PRWeek that his new venture will focus on helping small marketing agencies improve the link between digital and integration.
‘It's a matter of going and doing the new thing,' he told PRWeek. ‘I want to maintain my relationship with PR because I still think that PR agencies are really well placed to pick up a lot of this work.'
Before entering the PR industry at Porter Novelli, Morrison had worked in a range of agencies, including advertising and digital. ‘I feel like I've got the Royal Flush of marketing disciplines,' he said.
Porter Novelli MD Jean Wyllie, who is herself departing the agency next month, pointed out that Morrison had ‘made a huge impact on how we develop integrated campaigns for our clients'.
‘I believe he has put PN on the digital map across our network and he has built a strong team specifically in the UK office,' added Wyllie. ‘PN is committed to digital and going forward will continue to hire and grow our business in this area.'
