Fund manager Save and Prosper has hired Lansons Communications to
‘revitalise’ its PR in a communications programme believed to be worth
pounds 100,000 in fees.
The appointment, which was confirmed at the beginning of the month,
follows a competitive pitch.
Save and Prosper is one of the oldest fund managers in the UK and is
part of the blue-blooded City banking group Robert Fleming. The
appointment of an external PR consultant follows a re-organisation which
saw S&P’s external communications manager Vee Montebello switch to
Lansons already carries out a retail financial PR brief for another part
of the Fleming business, Fleming Investment Trust Management.
‘We haven’t had a PR agency before,’ said S&P press officer Alex
Billson. ‘We’ve appointed Lansons because we want to build on our past
successes but at the same time to revitalise our whole PR programme.’
Reporting direct to chief executive Peter Roney, Lansons will promote
Save and Prosper’s range of unit trusts, its credit card and the Direct
arm which markets financial products such as pensions over the
