Malcolm Gooderham's outfit has signed up Lucy Jackson, former comms director at the Teenage Cancer Trust, and Sophia Harrison, European vice-president of comms at private equity firm Blackstone.

Jackson joins TLG as a senior consultant after five years at the Teenage Cancer Trust. She returns from maternity leave to help develop TLG's consumer and voluntary sector expertise.

Harrison joins TLG as a corporate PR director, focusing on the b2b sector. She quits Blackstone after fours years, during which she reported to New York-based global comms head Peter Rose.

A former press secretary to Conservative cabinet minister Michael Portillo, Gooderham set up TLG in late 2007. More recently, he was deputy MD of corporate comms and public affairs at Weber Shandwick.

‘We're expanding our reach,' he said. ‘The b2c market is crowded, but there is greater opportunity for a new approach in the static b2b market.'
