Cheyenne Software, the US data management company, has handed the task
of co-ordinating its PR in Spain, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and
Eastern Europe to Mathieu Thomas/Herald.
Hired without a competitive pitch, the agency will manage PR for Eastern
Europe directly from its Munich office and handle the Scandinavian brief
from London. Work in Spain and the Netherlands will be managed
respectively by local affiliates Abanico and Lammers van Toorenburg.
Mathieu Thomas/Herald already works for Cheyenne in the UK, France and
Germany.
Kate Messenger, head of technology for Mathieu Thomas/Herald UK, said
that the account was worth more than pounds 200,000 in fees. Work will
be mainly press relations led, targeting potential clients and
distributors through the technical trade press. ‘It’s a question of
making people aware of how big Cheyenne is in its area,’ she said.
Based in New York state, Cheyenne specialises in producing storage
management, security and communication software solutions. Sales for the
first quarter of this year jumped by 36 per cent to dollars 52.2 million
(pounds 31.7 million).
