TIGI Haircare, the sister company of hairdressing chain Toni and
Guy, is looking to boost its financial PR capability in preparation for
a stock market flotation.
The company, which sells a range of haircare products through
hairdressing outlets, is scheduled to float in three years’ time.
PR director Linda Evans said the company would probably appoint an
external consultancy, although hiring an in-house manager was also an
option. ’We have very good relations with the beauty and fashion press,
but we are getting closer to the time when the company will float and
financial PR is something quite specialised,’ she said.
Owned by the four Mascolo brothers, TIGI Haircare markets its products
through representatives overseas as well as in the UK. Its sister
company Toni and Guy has 40 British salons and 21 others worldwide.
