Australian pre-school pin-ups The Wiggles, who are being marketed
as the human equivalent of the Teletubbies, have taken on Consolidated
Commmunications to make sure their concert tour in March is a
The five-figure media relations contract runs for three months. DRi
Licensing, which has just brought The Wiggles brand to the UK, appointed
the agency without a competitive pitch. The three-week tour will kick
off with a launch party in London.
The Wiggles already have a weekly 20-minute slot on GMTV. Video and
recording deals are in the pipeline.
