ITT Sheraton Corporation, the group which owns Sheraton Hotels, is
expected to appoint a new UK PR agency in the next two weeks.
Pitches for the account took place last week and six agencies are on the
shortlist. The account was previously handled by the Communications
Partnership, which did not repitch.
The new agency will promote the products and services Sheraton offers in
the UK and Ireland. Meenaz Lilani, sales and marketing director for the
UK, said it is important to position the hotels, particularly the top
range Luxury Collection, in the right media.
Sheraton’s European director of PR, Marco Ferrari, said that the chain
had been developing a network of agencies across Europe for three
Sheraton uses agencies in Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt, and has ten
in-house PR practitioners across Europe.
