Conde Nast Publications’ communications director Nicky Eaton has
joined Fourth Estate Publishing as publicity director.
Eaton joined Conde Nast in January 1997 from publisher Random House,
where she was publicity director. At Fourth Estate she will oversee PR
for fiction and non-fiction titles, which include the first book from
London department store Harvey Nichols.
Conde Nast has hired Antonia Bailey to replace Eaton. Bailey joins from
her role as publicity director at Little, Brown and Company, which
publishes authors such as Iain Banks.
She will oversee PR for Conde Nast’s UK arm, whose titles include Vogue,
Vanity Fair, GQ, Tatler and Conde Nast Traveller.
Bailey will report to UK managing director, Nicholas Coleridge. Prior to
joining Little, Brown and Company earlier this year, Bailey was
publicity director at Macmillan Books.
Conde Nast retains Hobsbawm Macaulay Communications to handle PR for
Vanity Fair and Cantor Wise to promote Tatler, and works with other
agencies on a project basis.
