Nick Skeens, former TV hack turned MacLaurin Communication & Media
account director, waved good-bye to his barefoot hippy-journo look
(above left) this week and had a makeover under orders from agency MD
Brian MacLaurin. With a little help from MCM clients, Andrew Collinge,
the celebrity hairdresser, and Chris Tarrant’s suit shop Made in Italy,
Skeens was re-born (above right). ‘He’s been dressing down for 37 years
and we took two and a half hours to dress him up,’ chuckles MacLaurin.
But, despite the up-market beauty treatment, the wife hates the new
image and, by the look of it, Skeens is also missing his flip-flops.
