Kodak Digital and Applied Imaging has named Companycare PR as its UK and
pan-European agency in the first step towards an overhaul of its
international PR (PR Week, 1 November).
Starting in January, the agency will assume responsibility for corporate
and product PR in the UK and a co-ordinating role in eastern Europe, the
Middle East and Africa. Companycare previously managed agencies in
Europe only and takes over from Fox Parrack Fox whose contract ends
later this month. Fox and Ketchum also pitched for the business.
Commenting on the appointment, Joanna Goodwin, PR manager for Europe,
Middle East and Africa, said: ‘Competition is extremely tough and we
have to have a really switched on agency’.
Kodak D&AI has also hired Team PRb as its PR consultancy in Germany and
Mathieu Thomas/Herald Communications in France. The division will turn
its attention next year to the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Italy and
Spain.
Kodak D&AI manufactures digital imaging solutions such as scanners,
digital cameras and CD media for small offices and home users.
