Russell Stenhouse, ex-joint deputy managing director of Shandwick firm
TPS PR, is to launch his own firm. He has taken two TPS clients with a
combined fee value of around pounds 100,000, Cathay Pacific Airways and
British Holidays, to kick it off with.
Stenhouse spent six years with TPS PR, which merged with fellow
Shandwick agencies Prime Communications and Fleet PR in October to
become Shandwick PR. He told PR Week that he had been offered a
directorship with Shandwick PR but had not taken up the post and is now
launching his own firm - Millennium PR - in January.
Apart from British Holidays and Cathay Pacific, Millennium’s launch
client list includes Cathay Pacific parent company John Swire and Sons
and Bourne Leisure.
Stenhouse, 34, said London-based Millennium will offer corporate and
travel PR. He has recruited three staff, none of whom are from
Shandwick.
Stenhouse stressed that his parting from Shandwick PR was ‘totally
amicable’.
‘I have no axe to grind at all,’ he said. ‘I just decided that the time
was right to start up on my own.’
