The European Commission has hired the Rowland Company to handle PR
for the Consultative Forum on the Environment and Sustainable
Development.
The forum is paid by the Commission to provide it with independent
environmental advice. Industry leaders, NGOs, regional governments and
pressure groups are among its members. Rowland will promote the forum’s
advice to policy makers at the EC, and those with a stake in the
environment, said Rowland Brussels joint managing director Nigel Henson.
Rowland began work on the account, which carries fees close to pounds
100,000, last month.
