Diary: H&K chairman gets his kit on for the cameras

Who’s this cool customer? If you haven’t already worked it out it seems that Hill and Knowlton’s silver-haired chairman Antony Snow has discovered a new vocation.

Who’s this cool customer? If you haven’t already worked it out it

seems that Hill and Knowlton’s silver-haired chairman Antony Snow has

discovered a new vocation.

This season’s Boden clothing catalogue features Snow demonstrating his

interpretation of the casual,

leaning-against-a-wall-with-hand-in-trouser-pocket pose (pictured

right).

According to Boden’s caption, ’Antony, company chairman’ wears a pounds

195 dark navy plain weave jacket and pounds 85 trousers.

This may be a far cry from Savile Row but Boden’s has a reputation for

using fashionable London men-about-town as its models. Snow’s pose

impressed ex-Hill and Knowlton colleague Nick Chaloner, now at Abbey

National. ’He looks very smooth, which was always very much his style,’

says Chaloner.

Snow was not at the office when I rang to ask him whether he would be

strutting his stuff on the catwalks during next year’s London fashion

week, but colleagues said he would not be giving up the day job just

yet.

At least we know where he gets his suits from.
