BORDER LINES: MOSCOW - Kuzmiak heads H&K Russia

Hill and Knowlton has opened its first Russian office. It will be headed by Michal Kuzmiak, previously chairman of H&K’s Prague office. Kuzmiak will remain as non-executive chairman of the Prague office and Richard Stregl will take over day-to-day management as managing director. The agency decided to open a Russian office after several new wins, including Russia’s largest company, the gas utility Gazprom. H&K has previously worked for Gazprom on a project basis but signed a three year contract with the company last month to handle worldwide investor relations and public affairs.
