OSLO: The managing director of Geelmuyden Kiese’s Oslo office,

Morten Woldsdal, left last week after one-and-a-half years with the

Scandinavian agency. He took four GK consultants with him, and the team

hopes to set up a new agency, although no formal plans have been made

yet.

MD of the GK group, Hans Geelmuyden, does not intend to replace

Woldsdal, and will take over his functions himself. Geelmuyden said:

’Morten did not feel comfortable managing a large consultancy and wants

to direct a smaller one. He is leaving on a very friendly basis.’

The Oslo office acts as GK’s group headquarters, employing 130

staff.

An additional 30 staff work in GK’s Stockholm and Copenhagen offices,

headed up by respective MDs Per Eric Holmgren and Klaus Fog. GK’s

clients in Scandinavia include Lego, IBM, Compaq and Microsoft.
