MADRID: Borja Puig de la Bellacasa has been named as chairman of
Bassat Ogilvy and Mather Communicacion, in a reorganisation of the
Spanish branch of Ogilvy Worldwide PR.
Bellacasa was previously director of the Madrid office and his move
follows the naming of founder Luis Bassat as president of the worldwide
creative council for Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide. Bassat has given up
his duties in Spain and relocated to London.
The role of director in the Madrid office has been handed to Linda
Ayares, who joins the agency from her role as account director at JA
Llorente and O Cuenca.
Ayares will report to Bellacasa, who also oversees Ignacio Rufin,
director in the newly opened office in Barcelona, and Jesus Martinez,
director in Seville. The Seville office was previously incorporated into
the advertising and direct marketing agency.
The agency, which was founded in 1990, has 21 staff and its clients
include AT&T, IBM and Electrolux.
