Maitland hooks Ocean account

Ocean Group, the global freight management firm, has moved its pounds 60,000 fee account out of Ludgate Communications to the Maitland Consultancy.

Ocean Group, the global freight management firm, has moved its

pounds 60,000 fee account out of Ludgate Communications to the Maitland

Consultancy.



Ludgate was appointed six months ago following a pitch against

Shandwick, the Hogarth Partnership, the Maitland Consultancy and Hudson

Sandler.



Nick Fitzherbert, a director of Ludgate, confirmed that the agency no

longer represents Ocean.



Following the recent departure of four of its directors (PR Week, 23

Jan), Ludgate is expected to announce the arrival of Paul Burgin,

previously media director at Consolidated Communications, to work in its

financial services division.



The move comes as Ludgate confirmed the departure of two more members of

staff. Account manager James Leviton is joining Finsbury and Hugh

Fraser, account manager in Ludgate’s financial services division is

joining Dewe Rogerson.
