EUROPE: Lobbying group GPC Market Access, part of Omnicom, is

looking to appoint a European CEO to oversee its expansion plans and

head up its existing offices in London, Edinburgh and Brussels, whose

combined fee income is pounds 8.5 million.

GPC Market Access managing directors John Dickie in Westminster, Jane

Saren in Scotland, and Julia Harrison in Brussels will report to the new

CEO, who will report directly to Jon Johnson, chairman of GPC

International.

’GPC intends to make acquisitions in other European countries and Jon

Johnson will not be able to oversee that because he is based in

Toronto.

The appointment will be announced fairly soon,’ said outgoing London MD

Michael Craven.

The agency has a network of 12 affiliates across Europe, and intends to

negotiate share acquisitions with some of these agencies. GPC is

particularly interested in Germany, where its affiliate is IPSE.
