Anglian Water has promoted Monica Greenwood to head of public
relations, from her previous role as marketing manager.
Greenwood will be responsible for managing media and all public
relations activities for the utility, with the support of a centrally
based team and four regional public relations managers.
She reports to director of corporate relations Mike Keohane, who
oversees marketing, investor relations, parliamentary affairs, corporate
affairs, recreation and internal communications.
Keohane joined the water company two years ago to head up a 26-strong
marketing team. Citigate Westminster handles Anglian Water’s public
Anglian Water is geographically the largest of the 10 regional water
services companies in England and Wales. It supplies water to four
million people and sewerage services to 5.3 million people.
Last year the water company suffered its worst year for water pollution
prosecutions since it was privatised nine years ago.
The Environment Agency fined Anglian Water more than pounds 46,000 for
eight separate pollution incidents.
However, regulatory body Ofwat revealed last November that Anglian Water
has the lowest level of disconnections for non-payment of bills.
