The London office of Miller/ Shandwick Technologies has launched a
consumer technology group to be headed by James Korenchen, associate
director and former head of Miller/Shandwick’s New York office.
The move comes as technology clients are increasingly focusing on the
consumer press in response to growing public interest in technology
Kristin Syltevik, managing director of Miller/Shandwick Technologies
London, said: ’As consumers become more sophisticated and start to
embrace technology we see consumer tech PR as the next evolution in the
more traditional technology PR market.’
Korenchen joined Miller/ Shandwick three years ago from Shandwick New
York where he was a vice-president. He has worked on consumer campaigns
for clients including Compaq and RCA.
He said: ’As the consumer media begins to cover technology any
information sent to journalists must communicate features and benefits
rather than jargon.’
