Ocean Group, the global logistics company, has appointed Ludgate as
its financial PR agency after a five-way pitch. Other agencies involved
were incumbent Shandwick, Hogarth, Maitland and Hudson Sandler.
Ludgate will focus on media relations and, together with an in-house
team, on investor relations. The account is worth pounds 50,000 to
pounds 100,000 in fees.
The appointment comes as Ocean streamlines its business strategy to
focus more on its core global logistics activity. Tony Lascelles,
Ocean’s director of corporate affairs, said: ’Shandwick handled Ocean on
a more restricted basis. We felt that with the new strategy a change was
