The autumn flotation of Britt Allcroft Group, which owns the TV, video
and character-licensing rights to Thomas the Tank Engine, could be the
start of something bigger for MacLaurin Communications and financial PR
firm Binns and Co, which have teamed up to work on the account. Brian
MacLaurin, who has handled PR for the company for three years, brought
in Binns and Co two weeks ago after trawling the market for a suitable
partner. ‘It is our hope that we can work together on other projects,’
he told PR Week.
