Lloyds Bank sponsorship PR manager David Goldesgeyme is to become head

of public affairs, in charge of a new joint Lloyds Bank TSB division.

The former London Symphony Orchestra cellist joined Lloyds Bank in 1987

to head its sponsorship operations. Goldesgeyme now wields a sponsorship

budget of pounds 3 million - one of the largest in the UK.

Sponsored events include the Lloyds Bank British Fashion Awards, the

Lloyds Bank BAFTA Awards and the Lloyds Bank Channel Four Film

Challenge.

When he starts as head of public affairs next month, Goldesgeyme will

report to head of corporate communications John Robson. He will head a

new joint Lloyds TSB following the bank’s merger last year.

As well as government relations, the division will manage media

relations activity around the Lloyds TSB Foundation, a charitable trust

to be launched next year.

Lloyds’ existing head of public affairs Alex Richmond-Scott is to

retire.
