Media PR specialist Propeller Marketing Communications is searching for

a director to spearhead the firm’s move into the consumer, hi-tech,

healthcare and travel sectors.

Propeller MD Martin Loat is to create a new division which he hopes will

double the agency’s pounds 500,000 turnover in the next two years - and

is looking for someone with ‘entrepreneurial flair’ to head it.

The agency, whose clients include media buyer CIA Medianetwork, United

Artists Programming and TV airtime sales house Laser, is keen to pick up

a share of ‘non-media’ PR business.

‘We will continue to do what we are known for,’ said Loat.

‘But we are looking for someone to take us beyond that area by targeting

a broader range of clients.’

The new director will initially rely on Propeller’s existing staff of

nine but Loat expects the division to stand alone and begin recruiting

after just six months. He stressed the division would not stray into

lobbying, environmental or corporate public relations but remain

‘marketing-led’ - selling products or services to consumers and

businesses.
