Media PR specialist Propeller Marketing Communications is searching for
a director to spearhead the firm’s move into the consumer, hi-tech,
healthcare and travel sectors.
Propeller MD Martin Loat is to create a new division which he hopes will
double the agency’s pounds 500,000 turnover in the next two years - and
is looking for someone with ‘entrepreneurial flair’ to head it.
The agency, whose clients include media buyer CIA Medianetwork, United
Artists Programming and TV airtime sales house Laser, is keen to pick up
a share of ‘non-media’ PR business.
‘We will continue to do what we are known for,’ said Loat.
‘But we are looking for someone to take us beyond that area by targeting
a broader range of clients.’
The new director will initially rely on Propeller’s existing staff of
nine but Loat expects the division to stand alone and begin recruiting
after just six months. He stressed the division would not stray into
lobbying, environmental or corporate public relations but remain
