MEDIA: IN BRIEF - New science unit for BBC

The BBC has created a 30-strong radio science unit producing news, documentaries and magazine programmes for Radio One, Four and Five Live as well as the World Service. It will also develop an on-line service. The team, which will be led by former executive producer of network current affairs at BBC Manchester Harry Dean, was formed from merging the domestic and World Service teams.
