Shandwick has promoted former senator Don Riegle to the new role of chairman of Shandwick International Americas, as part of expansion plans for the continent. Riegle’s role will be to advise on global strategy. He will work on acquisitions, attracting new international business, and will counsel global clients. The company wants to strengthen its presence in North America and expand in South and Central America. Riegel will retain his current position as chair of Shandwick public affairs’ executive committee.
