PARIS: Petro-chemical group Elf Aquitaine, France’s largest
industrial company, has promoted Michel Bonnet to senior vice-president
for communications and human resources.
Bonnet will oversee a corporate communications division with a staff of
around 50 people, which is itself headed by director in charge of
communications Jean-Francois Carminati.
The communications division deals with the company’s internal
communications, external relations including press, corporate affairs
and advertising, and employs PR companies on a project basis.
Bonnet, 55, replaces Jean-Luc Vergne, who resigned after 26 years to
become head of human resources at Peugeot-Citroen. Bonnet is currently
administrative adviser to the president of Elf Aquitaine, Philippe
Jaffre, who is chairman and CEO of the company.
Bonnet joined Elf in 1967 and has occupied a series of senior posts,
including associate senior vice-president of corporate communications
and vice-president of marketing and external relations for the group’s
refining and retail division.
